Getting to see the contests that are run here at Hatchwise is always a great experience. We love getting to see how creatives interpret the contest brief and what entries they submit. It’s always fascinating to see what the client chooses for their winning entry and what marketing material they choose to display it on. This recent contest saw a whopping 249 entries submitted by 187 creatives. Let’s take a look at all the details of this contest!
CHAMPIONS Basketball Advantage is a basketball training facility that specializes in shooting. They also offer other instruction training to students as well. They say in their brief that their primary audience is primarily kids elementary through high school and some college students and young adults.
They requested a new logo for their training facility and filled out the contest brief describing what they were looking for. They wanted the logo to be eye-catching and the word champions included in it. After assessing the contest brief and seeing what the client requested, Hatchwise creatives got started!
Seeing what entries were submitted by creatives after they’ve reviewed what the client requested is always exciting! This particular contest received a variety of unique entries submitted by Hatchwise’s most talented creatives. Here are a few of our favorites from the entries submitted to this contest!
This creative entry uses a basketball above the company name with ‘CBA’ inside of it. The name of the company is shown below, with two stars on either side of the company’s tagline ‘Always One Move Ahead’. It uses the colors red and gold as requested by the client and displays more gold stars on the top of the design. The logo is shown on a blue background.
This entry is more simplistic and cleaner than the first entry shown although there are also similarities. This creative also shows uses a basketball and the tagline, although this time the tagline is placed above the basketball. The name is below, with three white stars at the very bottom of the design beneath the name. This creative chose to only use three colors; orange, white, and black.
This entry is different than the previous ones for a variety of reasons, including that they choose to make the tagline larger at the bottom. While the other creatives choose to make the tagline smaller, this entry chooses to make the tagline larger. A basketball is used above the company name with wings coming out on the side.
After reviewing and rating all the entries submitted by our designers, the client chose a winning design. The winning entry submitted by Hatchwise creative andsue is shown above! The client paid just $150 for this winning entry and now has all rights to it. This contest received 249 entries by 187 creatives and was viewed a total of 4288 times.
