The Doritos emblem has undergone substantial transformations, yet the brand itself has remained firmly entrenched in the hearts of Americans, emerging as an irresistible treat on game day and well beyond.
Since its inception, these targeted endeavors have been pivotal in propelling the brand to success, with a visually arresting representation playing a key component. However, one may ponder: how did the logo come into the picture, and how has it evolved over time? What values and principles does the company embody, and how does its visual identity, particularly the logo, resonate with these distinctive attributes?
One of the best parts of working at Hatchwise is that we get the opportunity to see some of the most unique and artistic designs to be created.
It’s always a good day in the office when we share our favorite contests with our readers, and this week, that content is a t-shirt design contest run by the company Hippie Roots.
The company was looking for a t-shirt design that could effectively display their company while also being aesthetically pleasing and creating a design that people would be proud to wear.

Howdy y’all! This week we’ll be taking a look at a fantastic contest that was done for Hatchwise client Prestigeland, and their company hails from the Lone Star State of Texas.
One of the reasons we wanted to showcase this contest, in particular, was because it’s a great example of how designers can take a simple concept (in this case, a buffalo), and come up with a crazy amount of different visual ideas for it.
The logo is for a parcel of real estate located in Texas called Eighteen25 Ranch. They wanted the logo to represent their property, which dates back to the year 1825.
Sports logos aren’t just cool symbols on jerseys or caps. For dedicated fans, they hold a world of meaning, reminding us of our favorite team’s history, hometown pride, memorable victories, and even family traditions passed down through generations.
A great sports logo can become so iconic that you see it everywhere—from stadium seats and street murals to T-shirts in countries where nobody even follows that particular sport.
