The Most Exciting Startups In Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley has long been an area of innovation and technological marvels. Since the late seventies, when semiconductors first started to be manufactured, Silicon Valley has seen some of the most successful and versatile businesses begin startups and grow to become worldwide giants of the technology sector. Today, there are hundreds of companies wishing to change the world for the better and introduce their technology to the masses.

While not all of these companies will be successful, there is much anticipation to see exactly what these young and hot-blooded CEOs are coming up within California today. New communication avenues and improvements to rapidly evolving technologies are underway every day. Read ahead to gain a sense of which industries could benefit from Silicon Valley’s latest technological innovations and improved business practices. With so many industries in the area using the latest technology and pushing for other improvements, the future looks bright in the heart of Silicon Valley.

For the past few decades, Silicon Valley has been the premier location of tech startups of all types. Many mistakenly believe that the success of the area only began at the turn of the century, but Silicon Valley has been a hub of technological innovation since the late 1970s when the production of semiconductors started. Today, there are hundreds of interesting startups that are all vying for their shot at changing the world. Here are just a few of the most interesting and important startups who are working in the Valley today.

  • Many of Silicon Valley’s startups focus on digital technologies
  • Many companies are taking a green approach and improving on existing processes
  • The future will undoubtedly be shaped by the area, like robotics and telehealth

Wing

Based in Paulo Alto, Wing is working tirelessly to shape the future. Their company is developing drones and drone technology to make deliveries all over the world, with any item. Wing’s focus is expansive; their drones are being made and programmed to deliver a litany of objects, from coffee and groceries, to pharmaceuticals and hardware tools.

There’s potentially no limit to where the company can go and how much of the future they can deliver through their drone services. Currently, their fleet operates in Australia, Finland, and the United States, but expansion is planned for the near future.

Step

Another startup located in Paulo Alto, Step was founded with the intention of altering the landscape of mobile banking. There’s been impressive steps taken in the world of mobile banking over the last few years, with features like remote deposits making banking easier and convenient for everyone, but Step plans to take this ease one step further.

In the same vein as PayPal and Venmo, Step works like an independent mobile bank, allowing teens and adults alike to make and receive payments using personalized Step cards and manage their expenses on a daily basis.

Nuvia

Nuvia could become the next major company for processors. The company has a green focus, building processors which take up little energy and can be manufactured at a sustainable and environmentally friendly rate.

Their processers also aim to be the best in the industry, capable of handling and managing more data than the top line processors of today. They’re currently based in Santa Clara and hope to usher in a new age of computing by making processors which will exceed data demands far into the future.

Emilio Health

This company aims to help children with behavior health conditions. Located in Palo Alto, this company wants to streamline the health process, allowing experts to schedule, track progress, and provide online therapy for children with behavior issues. There are a number of strides being made in the healthcare industry right now which fall under the category of “telehealth” a revolution which allows experts to give diagnoses and care to patients which they can’t physically reach.

This technology has been developing over the last few years and has proliferated at an increased rate during the Covid-19 pandemic. Emilio Health wants to lead the industry with innovative technologies and digital communication services.

Robust

Finally, there’s Robust, one of the most exciting companies located in Silicon Valley. Yet another company based in Palo Alto, Robust is trying to create robots which are smarter, safer, and more agile and dexterous than the current robots of today. Their ultimate goal is to provide robots which will help increase the rate of automation in many industries.

This is a tougher challenge than it sounds, as most of the world’s robots can only perform in “closed-end” scenarios, where they have only one function to perform. Robust wants to create robots who can perform a variety of tasks and thrive in an open-ended environment, thinking and doing for themselves.

Final Thoughts

There are many companies in Silicon Valley that are trying to improve the lives of people the world over. These companies are utilizing the latest in digital technologies to build new networks and communication avenues for faster response times and fewer hurdles for people in a multitude of industries today.
