The Worst Logo Designs Of All Time

September 19, 2019

You know when you see a logo design and you just automatically hate it? Maybe it’s the mixed color pallette or the fact that it looks sloppy, or you can’t even describe it; you just hate it. The second you see it you want to look away.  I think we all know that feeling more or less, and I think we can all mutually agree that it is not the feeling we want our customers to have when they see our logo. You want your customers to love your logo, be mesmerized even. There are many logos out there that are exactly that; mesmerizing, amazing and classy. However, there are also many that are the opposite; sloppy, ugly and just plain bad. In this blog post, we’ll discuss the latter logo designs.

Five of the worst logo designs of all time.

1. Kraft Foods. Although the intention may be to appear bright and cheerful, Kraft Food overdoes it. There are far too many colors involved in the logo, confusing the viewer. The color palette is messy and, overall, it’s far too carnival-like to be taken seriously.

2. Pathmark. It’s true that simple can be good in logos, but it’s best not to take it to the extreme. This logo may have the potential to be great, but, as is it’s just bland and distasteful. The colors and style don’t go and overall creates an unpleasant logo.

3. Pepsi Max. Let’s just say that there’s a reason that Pepsi chose the colors they did and didn’t go with the ones that Pepsi Max chose.

4. Doughboys. I mean, honestly, would you buy food from a company with that logo? I  thought so.

5. Portland Trail Blazers. This one is pretty self-explanatory. I mean, does this really look like trailblazers to you?

Above are some of the worst logos of all time and if they’ve taught us anything it’s that it’s what we do not want to be. You want your logos to be pleasant on your customer’s eyes,  easy to understand and classy. We strongly recommend not following in the footsteps of the companies above and instead choosing to create a strong logo and brand that will amaze the public.
