Yeah, we think this is looking awesome. About the left and right ends of the pages: See how the edges on the left blot out with solid black on the top and bottom. Can we not have the black blots and more like the white on black etches like the top part of the right edge of the book. Also, on the right edge note the black blot at the bottom. Same thing. They distract form the book and the look just a touch. And one more minor thing. The gap between the book and the cover that white on the left side of the book. See how there is just a bit more of black spot there than on the other side. Can we just pixel a bit more white into that to match it. We are done at that point.

I made all of the changes that you wanted (I hope I got them right) and I only got confused with the pages of the book. What EXACTLY do you want done with those?
