guess this is the thing with dc we all have different ideas as to what is protectable and what is not which is why dc does not always work

It is decided now, so don't bother no more. I guess me and siamese bees don't have common sense, as raymer said... let me just say something, without trying to be smart or whatever - I am a proffesor of art, I studied art in university, studied a lot about conceptual art and art in general, I even graduated from this topic (conceptual art). I know what the concept is and you can't say this was not my concept... but, you decided it's ok, so i guess it is...

@tracey Honestly I don't think there's substantial concept material in your entry that might have, undoubtedly and directly, inspired any of those two entries.
But if you think there is, by all means - always do what you think is the right thing.
Making it fun- as the brief requires, in a way suggests that a cartoon character may be appropriate. Your entry, for example, failed at conveying fun and has more of a -I got a gun pointed at me- look.
Being fun IS the concept. And those two entries show it through facial and hand expressions.
But those friggin hands are way too similar imo.

Well said Tracey. Good to see common sense prevailed :)

what about the fact that I used the A as the body of a character first If we can protect hand gesture then we can protect that too right? But I didnt even consider dc for this because although concept is same designs are very different

@ArtDevil nobody said you copied, you simply didn't show respect for the author who submitted this very concept before you.

And where does it say: make the apple a character pointing to our brand with left hand and with the right hand giving his thub up?

no case here, read the brief:
What style would you like your logo to be? Would you like unique text, an icon with the name included in it, an icon with the name next to it, an illustration, or a different style?
Our current icon is an apple with A+ Therapy written on the apple. Next to the apple it says Kids Come First. I am looking for something that is kid friendly and presents us as a place where children learn and have fun.
