Hello everyone, I'll add some more info links that might help yr work. A brief intro: most of the trade of the world is transported by ships, either as full cargoes or in container boxes. We focus, for the time being, only on full cargoes that go to a minimum of 200 metric tonnes for a medium size river barge up to 1/2 million metric tonnes for the biggest tankers. The struggle is always to find matching cargo for the next trip as near as possible to the port of discharge. It is still done mostly like in the old days, just with business contacts and knowledge of the market. Our aim is to make this website an irreplaceable business tool for this trade. The website is @ www.opencargo.biz and this release is just few days old. As you see the home page is quite simple, I'd like to keep it as simple and clean as possible. Screen sized, with no scrolling needed would be perfect. The elements we need to keep are the logo and the top menu, everything else can be rearranged, redesigned or even go if the result is good. What we need is an illustration of the webiste object, static or flash, and some taglines that "lure" people in. @ everyone 1) as stated before the website is NOT about containers, all photographs till now are containers, container ships and containers cranes 2) I would really prefer not to have photographs but some illustration either flash or a static design (which I'd prefer as it's lighter)

thanks to everyone, as the previous time I did a contest on hatchwise (it was still elogocontest back then) it has been an amazing experience! I've narrowed down to 3 designers and 5 (almost) concepts. I'll take 2 or 3 days to select the winner, need to consult with others. Again, a big thank you to every one for participating!
