Dream It. Do It. Live It.

Describe your company and organization and target audience

My company is Mental Fitness Institute (MentalFitnessInstitute.com) and we teach people how to deal with common emotional and mental stressors of everyday life through online classes and coaching. Success Coaching is a particular product of the Mental Fitness Institute. My target market is female entrepreneurs who will sign up to work with me for a year in order to reach a particular goal in 12 months. I am a psychologist by formal education as well as a life coach. I will be using my skills to help female entrepreneurs power through whatever obstacles stand in their way of reaching specific goals in a specific time frame.

The design should have the following

I do not yet want to influence the logo design because I want the designers to be unrestrained. By color and design, I want to logo to express excitement and power, as people attempt to go "over the moon" in their success. Coloring should be bright and lively, though I am not fond of yellow or red for this design. Thus, I was thinking about a burnt orange (brownish orange) that is lively (but not like the fruit orange). The design should be lively but also elegant. I want "Success Coaching" to stand out and then I want a hand-script type font (not italics or fancy script) underneath for the word "unlimited" as though it were scribble as an afterthought. I favor abstract designs rather than realism to where to logo is suggestive of the object rather than an actual representation of it. To this end, I like the use of mirroring and negative space. I like color gradation, so that on a business card, I would have darker orange at the bottom where the tagline is so that it will stand out.

This logo will be used for

  • Online (Website, facebook etc.)
  • Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
  • Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
  • Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

I will not know the font I like until I see it. I can tell you I like clean, crisp lines. In terms of color, I do not want stale "business" colors like blue, gray, brown and probably not even green. I'm going for something more vibrant and lively and I think a burnt orange (dark, brownish orange) may do the trick. But again, I'll have to see it to know. I do not want anything cartoonish or too realistic. I favor abstract designs that are suggestive of content rather than realistic representations.

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

Let's start with a dark burnt orange with white text. Orange and gray combo might be nice. Other suggestions are welcome for the lively, vibrant and exciting feel I'm looking for. My creative studio design uses red, so no red.
