DormCo.com is a college dorm supplies superstore. Our products do transcend to other markets. Our newest product is a top of the line TRUNK. The trunk will be so durable that it will last from purchase to death.

The goal is to create a logo that can be in any color, can also be in 1 color. Or at most 2 colors or 1 color with several different hues. It needs to embody a strength and ability to last. The product will be expensive ($249.99). And need to embody confidence. It will become the brand leader for trunks that last!

In the attached images you'll see a sample of what the product is and a sample of what a logo on the product would look like. You'll see that the design doesn't want to be overstated and take away from the trunk's appearance or be cheesy. It is important to keep the logo 1 color as it will need to change colors depending on what color trunk is ordered. By making it more than 1 color it is too complex and stands out too much. Make the logo interesting, but avoid using bricks or iron pipes... nothing cheesy. The name and logo should embody a well made trunk that will last.

Instead of using colors find a way to make the design strong through font, font size, varying shades/boldness and if you see fit any type of interestingly infused design element (i.e. Starbucks Logo has an interestingly infused design element and they did so without using stars or bucks :) ). This logo doesn't have to have this design element, maybe it is just strong font use and layout, but I think some character will help further the brand and create a long term, well branded product. Lastly don\'t forget to add the tagline. It can and should be smaller font than the logo, but this probably goes without saying. Good Luck and feel free to ask any questions.
