Describe your company and organization and target audience

We need a logo design for a travel blog. We are trying to set a world record with our newborn baby girl to be the youngest person to visit all 50 states in the US. We’re making a documentary and photojournalism blog and would eventually like to turn this into a full-time travel blog targeted towards family travel after we are done with the trip, so it is not intended to be limited to just traveling the US. Our target audience is families as well as young parents and those with a sense of adventure.

The design should have the following

We would like to see designs that are easily transferable to hats, t-shirts and the side of our vehicle, so preferably just a one-color logo. Our color scheme is mainly black and white anyways. The final design should somehow communicate travel, adventure, and exploring.

We'd like it to be uniform, and not something off centered.

We would like to have text as well as a logo symbol that if it stands alone, will serve as a recognizable logo by itself as well. Things we would like: to keep this open ended as far as modes of transportation and focus on adventure anywhere (cities AND mountains, America AND international). We don’t mind some kind of stamp/stamp theme, or unique compass, but we don’t know exactly what else might work, such as some sort of abstract crown. We like uniform all caps fonts as well as modern lowercase handwritten fonts and don’t mind them intermingled but would like it to be easily readable. The goal is for someone to see our logo on the side of our vehicle, easily read it and be able to look us up along our trip. We’d like to keep the logo as simple as possible.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
• Television/screen

This design should not have this in the entries

We do not want any of the following in the logo: planes, any type of automobile/transportation, mountain peaks, cartoon images, ie: for it to look elementary.

We would not like fonts that are hard to heat press onto a t shirt, or cut out with a die cutter.
