CONDENSED DESIGN BRIEF

Company or website name

Broken Spade

Do you want any slogans or taglines on your logo?

High end Magic Bar and Theater

Who we are:

Charleston's Magic and Comedy Theater

Describe your company and organization and target audience.

The Broken Spade is a high end magic theater/bar. It will feature magic, comedy and variety entertainment. It will be a small but fun night out. We want to brand it as more than just a theater but a hang out.

The design should have the following:

A spade from a playing card that is broken, cracked or ripped. It should be a cool logo that people would want to wear on clothing. I would love to incorporate a stylized design of the famous Charleston bridge into the actual spade base (called the Ravenel Bridge or Cooper River Bridge, the front view of the bridge towers look cool, see attached sample artwork). The font and spade should work together and not fight for attention from the viewer. Magic can come across as cheesy and this can't be cheesy at all, it needs to be classy and cool. My inspiration for the name of the bar is a pin that advertises an existing deck of cards design. The pin is attached. It should not look the same since it is an existing product but could be inspiration.

This logo will be used for:

Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
Online (website, online advertising, banner ads etc.)
Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
Television/screen

We do not want this in the entries:

The tag line should be removable in case we decide to make it just "Magic and Comedy" instead of Charleston's Magic and Comedy Theater.
