CONDENSED DESIGN BRIEF

Company or website name

Bookie's

Do you want any slogans or taglines on your logo?

A logo for a local bookstore's semi-rebrand.

Who we are:

New and Used Books

Describe your company and organization and target audience.

This is a small independent bookstore that has been on the south side of Chicago for 27 years! It's time for a slight re-brand.

The design should have the following:

I was advised to edit the brief a little.

I would like a classic style that one would call "timeless."

must have "Bookie's" and "New and Used Books"

Would like to also see "Your Neighborhood Bookstore" or "Your Local Bookstore" or something that establishes us as an independent bookstore that serves a community would be great.

The logo should be upscale, but not snobby.

The logo needs to look good when converted to all black for one-color ads, bags, etc.

This logo will be used for:

Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
Online (website, online advertising, banner ads etc.)
Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
Television/screen

We do not want this in the entries:

I don't like things with a distressed look... like faded or paint splattered letters.
I don't want anything that looks like it belongs in the 80s or 90s. Retro 20s/30s/40s is ok, as long as it's timeless. It needs to be legible, not an insane font that can't be read.
