My company is a small, highly selective Seattle-based photography service. We don't accept very many clients each year, and the work we do is small-batch quality with hand editing, fast service, and very respectful and professional standards of service start-to-finish. We attract high income clients for their private events and weddings, as well as family and individual portraits. We built our business on word of mouth, and offer services at reasonable (but not cheap) pricing.

The design should have the following

Our current logo has never felt complete or custom; it scales well and is easily identifiable by its shape, so I found it useful when launching. However, it's time for something that will last and help establish our business and cement our reputation, so we're looking for something more unique and also immediately recognizable and scalable for social media across all platforms and watermark usage on images. The design should be simple and may or may not incorporate the lantern image; it should be classic and strong, perhaps staying close to a black/white color palette; color is acceptable, but blue is really the only color we see fitting.
