Describe your company and organization and target audience

We are a small coffee roasting company in southern West Virginia. We roast and package single origin coffees and blends that we name based on themes or locations within our state. Our target audience is local resident, coffee shops, and tourist. We in the New River Gorge area that was recently designated as a National Park. As a side note this is a renaming & rebranding of our current business White Oak Bee Company we sold honeybee product and fresh roasted coffee. The bee keeping side of the business is slowly fading as our coffee has grown in popularity. I just want you to know who we are and how we’ve gotten to this point in rebranding. Our current web address is www.whiteoakbee.com which will obviously be changing in time. This new logo is first step as it will set the tone and theme of website and new packaging.

Our business is named after a creek that flows through most of the area we serve and is a tributary to the New River. It is also a hot spot for hiking with waterfalls and swinging holes all along it’s trails. We would love to see a waterfall (Google Glade Creek WV waterfall for reference) & black bear which is our state animal. I love the logo types that are kind of an image within an image with a more outdoors and vintage feel. If added some photos of a footbridge on the creek and a popular waterfall/swimming hole.

Colors to use in the design

We tend to like minimal colors and prefer natural earthy tones. When looking at logos we tend to like the black vintage the best. This is a renaming and rebranding of a business and the current colors used are black/grey (1a1a1a) and orange (dd7702). I’m not married to these colors, just sharing for reference. Our current logo was made with Canva and it has served its purpose, but I’m really open minded here and excited to seeing what a professional designer can come up with.
