Modern young Belgian waffle shop, selling delicious warm belgian waffles from a tiny shop or mobile waffle bike

The design should have the following

I would like the design to be different from the classic waffle logos. It must be young, quirky, edgy, almost like a modern mobile app logo , like whatsapp, instagram, pinterest etc.
Simplicity , fun, instantly recognizable.
Traditional colors are dark golden yellow or orange but there are no restrictions really, if your design is different, color does not matter.

This logo will be used for

Online (Website, facebook etc.)
Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
