EDIT: I want the logo to be roughly 670 pixels wide, and still roughly 100 pixels tall. I want it to end roughly where the search box begins (above it) on SocialRight.org. You may want to "fade to white" on the right side. There will be blank white space to the right of it.

EDIT: Do you want any slogans or taglines on your logo? My Answer: Optional - You can use "Social Conservative News & Views" if you'd like.

You may want to consider the light red color found surrounding the "About" text directly under the menu here: http://www.socialright.org/about/

I invite anyone to submit a design for this contest. I winner has not been chosen yet. So far I like "Entry #232281 by: Mayavi" the best.

Domain name has CHANGED to TopRightNews.com (from SocialRight.org). Everything else is the same (like the tagline, Social Conservative News & Views). Sorry for the inconvenience. It will not happen again!

TO RECAP: The domain is TopRightNews.com You should match the colors of the logo to the dark red surrounding "Categories" at www.TopRightNews.com. You may or may not want to use ".com" in your design. You may or may not want to use "Social Conservative News & Views" (which is the tagline). The end logo should be around 670 pixels wide, and around 100 pixels tall. It will be aligned to the left where the current banner is. There will be whitespace to the right of it (possibly an ad later on).

DOMAIN HAS CHANGED The domain for this project has changed to DailyBold.com Everything else is the same (colors, layout, .com optional, etc.) Because of this inconvenience, I would like to increase the prize money by $40 for a total of $200. I will get on the phone with HatchWise and see if I can do that. I am sorry for the change, and it really will not happen again.

I wanted to add that I like the spacing of Entry #234507 by: eShopDesigns. Notice where the logo ends (right where the "categories" begins below it), and that it leaves the whitespace on the right side of it (where an ad may go eventually). I have rated it a 4.

I think the winning design will NOT have the tagline, or the .com. You are welcome to submit designs with those included, though. Also, I'd like to see your design as it would appear on my site, as some people have shown.

If you use red and blue, I think I'd like "Daily" in blue, and "Bold" in red.

The image needs to start at the left of the page, and go to where the "Categories" text begins on the right. As for height, 100 pixels is max, but you may want to make it smaller than that. I'd say it shouldn't be any less than 75 pixels high.

I have removed the links and the search form that was in the header. Check out the updated look at http://dailybold.com

Sites for design ideas: http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/fox-news-sunday/ (I like the "Fox News Sunday" logo..would like to see someone replicate it as "Daily Bold") http://HumanEvents.com http://Townhall.com http://DailyCaller.com http://RedState.com

The name is "Daily Bold", not "DailyBold". The logo should not have "DailyBold" as one word. Just a little space between "Daily" and "Bold" is all that's necessary (you may not want to put the full space between "Daily" and "Bold")

The entire graphic should either be 595 pixels wide (ending where the "Texas and Minnesota.." box ends on the right) OR 420 pixels wide (where the line between "About" and "Contact" is in the menu) if that suits your design better.

A 595 pixel wide graphic would end where the second post box ends (below the graphic).

The graphic should be 95-100 pixels tall (95 is good). It CAN be as small as 80 pixels tall if you need it to be. Height: 80-100 Width: EITHER 595 OR 420

Here's the design concept I'm currently leaning toward picking: http://www.dailybold.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/demo-dailybold7.jpg

See the top rated designs for my current favorites. Also read the comments for more insight into where I am headed with this logo. Design ideas: red & black, symmetry, non generic star (red and/or black), non generic USA flag (red and/or black), slight glossy effect, perfect "fit" As always, you're certainly allowed to think outside the box & submit a totally new design concept if you wish.

I now believe the winning design will probably be 420 pixels wide & 70-85 pixels tall.
