Sammy's Harlem NYC ("Sammy's Harlem") is a small, contemporary, high end Italian sandwich shop, featuring top quality and locally sourced fresh ingredients including home-made breads, charcuterie, condiments and vegetables. Sammy's Harlem also offers a coffee program, a small selection of pastries and a limited number of craft beers and sodas. Think Tuscany, rustic authentic breads, not a bakery, but with a contemporary, sophisticated atmosphere. Dark wood counters, maroon walls and shelves displaying italian ingredients --no chalk boards.
Sammy's Harlem is primarily a take-out place that will be located near one of the more famous landmarks in Harlem, such as the Apollo Theater. It will also have limited high-top seating (10-15 seats maximum) in the form of either a communal table or a bar-shelf along the perimeter of the shop. Sandwiches are made to order and not on display.
The target customers are local residents, who have moved into Harlem in the past 5-8 years, tourists (from the Hop on Hop Off Bus Tours) and businesses (corporations, not-for-profit) and churches. A significant portion of the business will be catering.

Stay away from the trio of colors in the Italian flag -- that's a no-no.

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

The interior of the space will likely be white tiles, dark wood and maroon accent walls. Would like to see logos with dark red/maroon, black, grey and white..

Sammy's is the dominant portion of the logo, with Harlem second and NYC the least prominent portion.

The design and logo should be sophisticated and the icon less playful, unless you have a terrific sense of humor and hit it out of the ball park.
