I forgot to say something that I should have said before. If there is a fetus pictured in utero, it should be head down because a) that is how they should be and usually are at the time of birth and b) because it would portray that "head over heels" upside-down thing that's part of our whole double entendre. Thanks. These are great to look at. We're going to prepay soon.

Hi designers, I want to thank you for your work so far. Krista and I are excited about the designs that have been submitted so far and would like to see more. As I'm sure you know, it can be hard to communicate what we want or don't want. As I see more designs I'm finding out what I'm drawn to and I'm going to share so that you all get a better sense of what I am looking for (I won't speak for Krista at this moment). I am definitely drawn to those designs that have a hand-painted look. For me it gives it a more personal feel, it has motion, vibrancy. While we often think "serenity" when we see a pregnant woman or a baby, in actuality this is a tumultuous time. Pregnancy is a life-changing event and it's a time of heightened senses. And as educators we're outspoken and energetic, so this logo should reflect our style also. I hope this helps. Feel free to send us a message if you have other questions.

(This is Krista) I think that Scarlett has summed up our feelings very well... I also am liking the logos that have a hand painted or sketched look to them. Thank you, designers, for all your hard work on these. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you may submit in the next week or so.

Doesn't your name 'HEAD-OVER-HEELS" preclude the use of an embryo in a pre-birth position. As opposed to the typical mother and child symbolism. Please clarify. thanks gozzi

Hi gozzi, "head over heels" is a well-known expression in English. This page explains it very well-including how it doesn't make much literal sense-you should check it out: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/head-over-heels.html

Happy Friday! We just wanted to take a moment to address the group before the Mother's Day weekend officially begins. A big thank you to all the designers that have been submitting logos, we appreciate each effort/design. Don't worry, you still have a little over 3 days to turn in more logo ideas and we really encourage you to do so. Although we have our favorites with-in the group so far, we are curious to see if there are any "bottom of the 9th" admissions that blow all the others out of the water. :-) A few notes: We do like that some of you have put your logo idea on a business card design so we can get a feel for how the image works. However, we would like to ask that for the duration of the contest the designers stick to just submitting the logo. Ultimately the logo we pick will be used for everything from web site to business cards to flyers and class handouts. If you still want to submit an idea but are a little stuck, just remember this line from our design brief, "It should look warm, inviting and comfortable." How can YOU illustrate the journey from pregnancy to parenthood without relying on cliched images? Thank you and enjoy your weekend, Head over Heels Birth Education

Hi designers, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you. We're very happy with what was submitted. We're going to have a very hard time choosing. At the moment we are consulting with friends and our own gut feelings. We will let you know soon, which design we choose. Sincerely, Scarlett
