anyone interested in doing this? If not, can you tell me what the problem is and I can maybe change the reqirements. The money is prepaid so someone WILL get it in the end.

Yes, I'm somewhat interested. You are probably running into the fact that it is a only a minority of the designers on this site who can actually draw characters and people. Many of the designers here are totally excellent at typography and graphic design, but when it comes to drawing characters or people... not so much. We aren't allowed to trace over stock photos and that kind of thing on this site, so it requires guys who can really draw to do the kind of work you are asking for. (Designers who trace over stock photos or borrow from clipart, etc. can get permanently banned from this site). But for the guys on this site who can really draw, $120 is not a very large prize amount, especially if the artist is putting in hours and hours on it and then doesn't win. If someone was asking me to quote such a project as a freelance illustrator I would probably quote them at least $150, maybe $200, and that would be if I was the only one they were asking for the work and I was guaranteed to get paid. I am one of the designers on this site who can draw well. I might take a shot at your contest if I get some time over the next few days, but I can't promise anything. Best of luck to you. Best regards, Matthew Veenker Designer/Illustrator

Thank you for your response. I wouldn't mind paying $150 or even $200 for a really good logo, I paid more in the past but that was when I bought it from individual designers who made countless revisions etc. I had some bad experiences with freelancers recently so I thought I'd try a new route and seeing that there aren't so many projects posted in here I thought I could get away with about the same price as other projects are going for. But you are right, drawing actual people is probably harder than "just" typography, if it's legal on this site I'm willing to up the bid by another $30 (this goes for everyone reading this but not if I decide on a winner who uses just text, which is also a possibility if nothing comes out of this).

Well, Contest Holder, it looks like the first illustrator who can draw well has stepped up to the plate, so you may not need to up your offered prize amount after all. I'm interested to see how you rate that one, since it is pretty different from what I would have done. You still might want to up that prize amount though, as that is really what will bring in the skilled illustrators. Best, Matthew

yes I'm happy too see the first submisson, I do stand by my word though will up the contest to $150 provided the winner will be a logo with "two girls and text". I have entered my feedback for the drawing, what I want to say additionally is that while I really like the "realistic" style they drew the bodies in, an a little bit more "comic" style would be ok also as long as it's well done and not full out manga.

for clarification: with "sexy" I meant "good looking, well dressed, youngish" and not "slutty, stripperish" (sorry for the crass language but need to get the point across).
