Hi - this is great news and I thank you for selecting my design as your winner! I believe that to actually end the contest, there is some button in or around the Entry #587605 that must say something like "Select as Winner." Once you click that button, the contest page will display a red outline around the winner and the contest status will change to "finished" so that further entries will not be accepted. I think there must be some similar button for opting to buy your second place winner's design. I've never been a contest holder, so I can't tell you exactly what the applicable buttons say or where they are located, but I know they must be there, from my experiences with other contests.
