Describe your company and organization and target audience

I'm looking for a sleek new logo for my photography business. My target audience will vary from athletes, to weddings, and headshots - and everything in between. So I'm looking for a logo that has mass appeal for a variety of purposes. But, one that is eye catching nonetheless.

The design should have the following

I'd like to stick to a brilliant blue/white/black -ish color palette, true to natural diamond colors. While I'll be doing primarily photography with the business, I would like to leave the future open to other creative ventures in aesthetics, and I'd like the logo to reflect more than just photography. I'm looking for something high contrast but sophisticated, abstract but streamlined. I also am not sure I need a camera or other specific photography symbols in the logo, although I am open to it if it's clever. I'm open to both symbols and/or type in the logo. My initial thought was to have a diamond turned on its side in the shape of a "D" for "Diamond Creative"... but of course am open to the designers' creativity.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
