Is the location of the logo where the currently green square space is? If so, I'm assuming it needs to fit well within the square space and still look amazing.

Yes. You have the entire green space for the sign. In addition to a hanging sign. It does not need to be rectangular. I will be posting more pictures of the sign.

Iam seeing a lot of styles of logos that is typical of the pizza industry. Bright colors, big bold fonts in colors of green and red. This restaurant will serve upscale pizzas. Across the USA there many examples of this new style pizzeria.Look at the websites of MOZZA (Mario Batali's Restaurant in LA) PICCO in Boston, MOTORINO in New York, FRANNY'S brooklyn, PIZZERIA BIANCO Phoenix, TUTTA BELLA Seattle and the list goes on and on. Elegant, Upscale, quality, Artisan, dining establishment.
