Something like that - Or have nested animal outlines - cow, lamb, pig, chicken, fish, egg, cheese and the above letters super imposed over it - or something.

I'm making a website with a database and lots of information about the new Carnivore Diet - which is a low carb #ketogenic diet where you only eat meat, cheese, and eggs and cut out eating fruits and vegetables and all junk food, no really. Beef and lamb are the most typical meals. Pork (bacon) and chicken and fish are still popular though. I want the logo to be clear, helpful, unique, and purposeful - related in some way to eating meat.

The target audience is anyone who might be interested in trying a low carb, mostly or all meat diet and consulting with me. This can be both baby boomers that are experiencing a lot of chronic disease today like obesity and type 2 diabetes, or any younger generation that has grown up on processed foods and 'eat mostly plants' advice. I'm hoping that my site will be linked to a lot because it will have hundreds of dynamic pages - so thinking of it as a library or an easy to remember reference site will be important too.

CarniWOE has an acronym - Way of Eating - which is more of a long term lifestyle than just a diet.
I'm undecided if it should be title: CarniWOE and then Carni Way of Eating or Carnivore Way of Eating or Carnivorous Way of Eating. Maybe I can add or remove the longer spelled out version on logos, or have it part of a circle that wraps around the logo (a badge). My LLC is also CarniWOE - maybe I should make the Way Of Eating standard with an uppercase o for 'of'.

The design should have the following

I love icons that show a lot of great fat in them - such as a ribeye or lamb chops - and maybe keeping the icon centered on what one can eat will help. If you have an inventive way to show fatty meat as an icon - try it, I bet negative space or optical illusions could be tried.

I like using the C copyright text logo on Twitter to identify other carnivores. Maybe if that C with a circle around it is part of the logo - it would help. ©arniWOE perhaps, but with the C bigger and clearer.

I really like the looks of negative space images - I've seen some detailed ones for beef and pork - but I was thinking a cow with a lamb negative space inside it might look really cool. I also love all the predators here(and the ox with horns) under 3. Integrated Negative Space

Other websites and businesses have chosen a lion to represent the movement, and I think that makes a good deal of sense, but I wouldn't mind something new. I was thinking of a negative space dragon shooting flames on a steak, or maybe shooting fire upward from the dragon's mouth and having a steak balanced on the top like a water hydrant blown open.

Another idea I had was to use a similar logo to the band's Chimaira C logo, which has a circle around the C and then 8 arrows pointing out in different directions. Maybe replacing the arrows with carnivore animals(wolf, lion, fox, eagle - ETC - be creative) or carnivore prey (beef, lamb, pork, fish, chicken, eggs) could work, but I don't know how that design might work. Maybe predators on top, including a human, and prey on the bottom.

Also, a big juicy steak icon (a ribeye) is another option - similar to the emoji, but also different.

You can tell I have a lot of ideas. It's why struggling to photoshop something myself would be a terrible waste of time because I still can't really use it well enough. I hope you can interpret some sort of clear idea out of this jumble of ideas - or think of something better.

This logo will be used for

  • Online (Website, facebook etc.)
  • Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
  • Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

I think red, white, and black would work best for meat, but if there are different characters or meat isn't displayed in your design - I'm open to other colors. Green or Orange are probably too much like plant colors to be useful.
