I think I need to clarify for everyone that the bio part of the name is short for biotech. Several of you have gone with a "green" type of icon/symbol when really it should be more science or people related. Hope this makes sense and keep the submissions coming. They look nice so far.

Are there some more interesting fonts that arent too casual? Some good designs thus far but seems like many of them are using the same very basic font. As I see the designs, I think I really like the green/blue type combo for color. No one has tried a red orange type with maybe some dk gray. Would love to see that tried out. Thanks everyone

layout is at the designers discretion ... in other words we don't have a clue as to what we want and are very open to ideas.

only two or maybe three colors, but if using three colors one being black or dk gray or if three then two being different shades of one color (ie two shades of green, two shades of blue) I dont want to get into something too complicated with colors. Yes layout is at the designers discretion ... I'm very open to ideas. Looking for some sort of icon or design element as well as lettering. Can be abstract or ? I wish I had a concrete idea in mind and could give more direction. All I can tell you is I will know when I see it!

I've seen some nice submissions thus far and wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate your time and effort in putting forth these entries. I did however ask one of the designers to withdraw from the competition as they posted the comment "you are going to have to pay me much more than the $150. you initially put up for this contest. This is a 'bigtime top shelf' corporate I.D. design. This logo sells for $1500". If anyone else feels as though their designs are worth more than the monies being offered, I would encourage you to withdraw as well and/or dont submit the entry. I'm new to this site and am hoping that this is an isolated incident and not typical of the designers that frequent this site. I would hate to have issues once a winner is selected since the rules and expectations are clearly indicated up front. Thanks
