Describe your company and organization and target audience
The zine is looking to combat a lack of documentation around social justice organizing, especially in marginalized communities. As a biracial, Asian American young woman, Katie wanted to create this piece around Asian American identity composed of interviews with a variety of activists and politicians. After a ravaging pandemic, a country’s racial reckoning, a historic election, and a rise in anti-Asian hate, it felt important to document these experiences. The zine will be available digitally and live in libraries and archives across the United States.
