Sure the live trace isn't professional, but for a mock up or roughs it works, I won't waste time in that for a work that I'm not sure if I will win. Webs like hatchwise, where the payment is not sure, where the client maybe never pay you, isn't the best option working for a long time on a simple thing. For a professional work, I will NEVER use the live trace. Also, a right contest should have the .eps or .ai files for the logo. Giu Magnani.

Directed at the source, not directed at anyone in particular: The web is a great platform for building relationships, but a (good) true designer presents the best solution to a client's problem. That is simply not possible through speculation work. When many solutions are offered by the group or by individuals, either not enough information has been delivered by employers or designers are insecure about their decisions. Therein lies part of the prob with spec work/contests. A designer should get to know as much about employers, their services, visions, mission, problems, needs, etc. that the designer can move the client in the right direction and produce the best solution. We don't visit doctors and tell them how to cure our problems or only pay if we like the prescription. Just saying… PS - I dually agree that Live Trace will not support a finished product or is really for amateurs.

thats just easy and nonproffesional way to do it. If you want good clean vector its better to use pen tool and redraw it to get the best out of it. tracing is not a thing that logodesigner should do

as i understand that logo exsist only as none vector version? many people have asked you to upload vector version. Anyway i drawed it in vector as closest i can. wasnt very easy because bitmap mage is always low quality

first of all- I don't know why my comment showed up 4 times- it wasn't intentional secondly- I am new to this and don't know if you guys can see each others' designs or my comments about them (but I don't think that would make much sense). I'm not sure how you wouldn't be able to keep your designs aferward...? third- creativeintentions- you are right, it's hard to est rapport online, but I must say, I have been very happy with the contest overall. Thank you for your work and positivity. I have a couple of other people I wanted to include in the decision and we have all had different favorites. I'm also trying to consider the other applications of the logo in my decision. 2 days after the contest started I was worried I wouldn't get any entries, 48 hours later I was wondering if I would ever be able to make a decision. I want to thank everyone for their hard work and wonderful creative vision.

I have to say, speculation contests are mostly counterintuitive because employer-designer rapport must be built or injustice is suffered by the employer. Thanks for the opportunity, RAM Inc., and best wishes for your future and your company's image.
