The design needs to be more professional - the coloration is too drastic - while the presence should be strong, the image needs to elegant, classic, yet modern.

Hello, A variation on the color scheme of the earlier entry. This one is a little stronger. I have limitted myself to 2 colors again in this case black and "Pantone 165 U". Hope you like it If there's anything else you would like me to try please let me know. Regards John

HI All: I am extremely dissapointed in amateur quality of work submitted. There seems to be no original thought, only some clipart production.

If could kindly provide some samples of logos you actually like and/or further elaborate what you require it would make matters easier. At present the only explanation we have is "Look at using nautical themes - but, the logo needs to be iconic to the strategy of the website". If you could at least point us to the website on which this logo is to be used, maybe we could get a better feel for what you need. Regards John

CH, well, you want a pro logo for a not-prepaid $200? Hire Brian Hoff, Elliot Jay Stocks, Chris Spooner and others, they will make you a super logo for around $1,000-$1,500. So please, first of all, if you want to get what you need then please communicate with the designers, tell them what you want exactly, not just "no big ships". And the most important thing, if you critisize people's work then make sure your critisizm is constructive. That will help both you and the designer to achieve the desired result. And just FYI, pre-paid projects always attract more skilled designers because they can be sure that there's a guaranteed prize so they can really try hard to satisfy the contest holder.
