The Grange Burn Motel is a 31-room motel located in a small country town in central Victoria, Australia. The primary industries in the area are agricultural in nature.
The motel was built circa 1985 an was constructed with more resort style accommodation in mind rather than single night accommodation. The motel has an outdoor pool, plunge pool and indoor spa. The motel also includes a large restaurant and conference centre.
A curb view of the motel presents a fairly imposing figure, with a horse shoe driveway and large front canopy.

The design should have the following

The design should highlight the property name “Grange Burn Motel” so that it is easily recognizable as a motel. It should have colours that stand out so that signage is easily seen from the road. The colours should reflect the motel and its surrounds. It should be simple. It should highlight that this is a welcome friendly reprieve from the monotony of driving.
Due to the distinctive facade of the motel, a logo that illustrates that is what first comes to mind (although we are open to other ideas).

This logo will be used for

• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

Colors to use in the design

The motel facade is predominately red brick/roofing iron and painted creamy white surfaces so something that would complement these colours.
