Describe your company and organization and target audience

The Alberta Ombudsman provides oversight of the provincial government to ensure fair treatment through independent investigations, recommendations and education. The Ombudsman is impartial, operating independently from the Alberta government, political parties and individual elected officials. Established in 1967, the office of the Alberta Ombudsman was the first parliamentary ombudsman in North America. We value integrity, respect and accountability.

The design should have the following

The logo should be anchored in blue and grey tones and convey the authority of the office. Other colors can be used and would likely then be used as accent colors for printed materials and website. We serve Albertans so symbols, colors or emblems relating to the province of Alberta, Canada can be used (eg silhouette of the province). The logo should include "Alberta Ombudsman". Fonts should be approachable and easily available.

This logo will be used for

  • Online (Website, facebook etc.)
  • Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
  • Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
  • Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
  • Television/screen

This design should not have this in the entries

Please avoid color combinations that could be associated with to any political group.

Colors to use in the design

Blue and grey tones, black, white other color(s) used as accent. The logo should look good in black and white, greyscale and color for all uses.

We will request the pantones (CMYK) and RGB color values from the winner.
