www.striving4more.org This is my website but it is being completely redesigned using a different joomla template and a different image and a different header and the logo I get here. The main image will be: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/nature/summer/3596475-flying-dandelion-seeds-in-the-wind.php?id=3596475 And so therefore the color scheme of the joomla template that we pick will match that image.

I think that everyone is getting stuck on the website banner. I do not want you to design the top of my website. I want you to design a logo. Something compact that can be put on a business card. the only reason that I gave you the image is to show you the color scheme and the design that it will compliment on the website, it will not actually be put on that image at all. Although many of them are very good design wise, most of them are what I would think of as headers and not logos. Please try to think a bit more compact even if it means NOT putting the "...than a cure" into the logo, I am more than OK with that.

I thought I would tell you all that striving4more.org is our website. I plan on putting that on all of my materials. I was originally going to do it in addition to whatever you all came up with but now I am thinking that I should give you the option. Perhaps using just striving4more.org instead of Striving For More is an option that may inspire additional creativity.

There are 5 days left in this contest. On Wednesday, I have my first board of directors meeting and I plan to bring them my favorites and let them decide. As a non profit organization, even as the founder, I am more of servant to them than anything else. However, I have formed an opinion and have attempted to gather the opinions of others during the first have of this contest. Since we are half way through, I thought it would be good to summarize where we are and give some general feedback. I am struggling because I have narrowed down what I like but am not getting there. First I want to say that there have been several designers that have worked really hard on this and as a non profit organization that has no resources and no money so to speak, I appreciate your time, interest and money more than you will ever know. This organization is a passion for me and I appreciate every gift that is given. All of the time you each have given is a gift (even if you are doing it for exposure or the chance to win the prize). I have been able to zero in on requirements after being able to review entries for the last 5 days: + the logo should be on the left of the wording as seen in 21941. + the words "...than a cure" should be included in the logo + I do not care for the logo shown in 21941 but many people, including me really like the way the text is set up in that logo. Not necessarily the font type or the color but the way that the R is accenting the ... + The icons that are preferred at this time include 21903, 21918, 21831, 21642, 21913, 21829. But this is only for the icon portion, not for the text portion of these logos. + I am hoping that future submissions take these suggestions and either come up with new submissions based on these considerations or modify the submissions identified above based on these considerations. Again, that you for your interest and continued support to help kids with cancer.

PS - I have recently been told that two color printing will be less expensive than full color printing. This is an important consideration for a non profit and may be taken into account in our final decision.

A HUGE thank you to all of the dedicated designers who worked so hard on this contest. I learned so much through this process. You are all so talented and kind. It has been a terrific experience and I wish you all great success in the future. There were several designs that I loved. It made it really hard for me. Thankfully, I did not have to select the winner individually. I have a board of directors and we collectively chose the winner. I have friends that are disappointed that some of you did not win. I am just glad that I can say "this is what the board chose". You all can be proud in what you have contributed to help kids with cancer. Thanks again! ~ Diane Moore ~ www.striving4more.org (still under construction)
