“It’s a good thing you’re such a good designer…you can’t do much else.” When someone said this to Michael Osborne, Michael was determined to prove this person wrong in his retirement.
After closing Michael Osborne Design three years ago, Michael decided to take up woodworking. What he found was that much of his prior design skills were transferrable to this new field of art, so he began to teach himself how to carve spoons, knives, and other home products.
As a designer, Michael still saw things through an artistic lens, and since he already saw the beauty in wood, the design part came naturally to him.
When you turn on a movie, there’s a chance you may see a golden, ferocious lion with the name “Metro Goldwyn Mayer” above it.
This lion has become somewhat famous throughout the year. He has become synonymous with high-quality media, and viewers associate the MGM lion with famous movies and iconic characters.
The iconic lion has made MGM one of the most famous and iconic film studios of all time. It’s only natural that you may be interested in the history of the logo, specifically the history of the iconic roaring lion that appears at the start of every MGM film, and learn all the details about where it came from.
The Olympics has had a rich history dating back to around 3,000 years ago.
As of now, there have been more than 30 editions of the Summer Olympic Games and more than 20 editions of the Winter Olympic Games, leading to a total of more than 50 distinct Olympic emblems.
Even more popular than those emblems, perhaps, is the iconic five-ring logo itself.
This iconic logo has gone through a few different changes since its original creation more than 100 years ago.
This condo rental company needed a poster designed with a sandy pun based on the popular space western TV show “The Mandalorian.” They wanted to emphasize the beach on the Oregon coast, so it had to have seascapes but no tropical themes. The winning poster will be displayed in one of their condos along the coast. It was important to the company that their logo featured prominently in the design.
