Thanks to all those who have submitted in the first 24 hours of the contest. We have seen some really good ideas and look forward to your revisions. A couple of points we would like to make to help everyone out: 1. Design the logo and name for a white background 2. Don't use a font with an outline, shadow, mirror, etc. as they can be too hard to replicate and maintain. 3. Try to stick with no more than 4 colors in the logo and name so that it doesn't appear too busy. 4. We would like to see a few more with a map pin incorporated, but this is not to say a pin is a requirement.

5. Stay away from the Google colors of red, blue, green and yellow (orange) all incorporated in the logo. These colors are overused together and also make the logo busy and difficult to call unique.

6. We would like to see more submissions that focus on what our app and website does - Pin pointing the location of your friends (peers), social media (communicating), mobile technology.

7. No gradients in the text as this is hard to maintain.

8. No red in the text.

In the last day of the contest we would like to see more ideas without the red Google map pin, as well as less literal (Compass) meaning. Thanks to everyone that has participated.
