Describe your company and organization and target audience

We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to heirloom fruit tree (the majority are apple trees, but also apricot, pear, plum, quince, cherry and peach) preservation. We map orchards, graft and plant new trees from old varieties, connect resources for distributing fruit, photograph trees, and conduct historical research. So, we are not selling apples, we are preserving trees so that their genetics can be carried on. If you plant an apple seed, it will not be the same as the fruit from which you took the seed. You must take a cutting from the live tree to propagate the variety. Most of these trees were planted between 1885 and 1910. They live in Western Colorado in irrigated communities that were established in the 1880s. <br /> <br /> Our target audience could be anyone interested in history, planting new orchards, preserving heirloom food genetics, preserving old fruit trees, tourists, potential fruit buyers or sellers (we connect them, we do not actually sell fruit), and people who want to learn more about fruit growing or grafting.<br /> <br /> Our website is www.applecoreproject.org. You should know that we intend to use this for a logo and a physical brand that will be heated and burned into fruit boxes and tourism signs. <br /> <br /> We called this project the Apple Core Project because apples are our main focus and a small (core) group of people established this organization.<br /> <br /> We talked about an apple tree, an apple core, and/or something that speaks to the roots of these communities in irrigated agriculture. Having said this, if your idea leads to to another design, we&#039;d love to see it. <br /> <br />
