Beer And Brewery Logos
Even if beer isn’t your thing, you probably could name a few beers off the top of your head. From Heineken to Corona to Bud Light, it’s hard to escape beer and brewery advertisements. Just take the Super Bowl for instance. One of the most popular (and funniest) Superbowl advertisements year after year comes from Budweiser. On a smaller scale, craft and microbreweries have grown in popularity and no matter where you live, there’s likely a brewery in your state.
With an industry that is booming like this one, it’s no surprise that countless brewery and beer brands have turned to Hatchwise to find their new logo design. We’ve included these Hatchwise contests below so you can look out for some of these logos the next time you’re shopping for some beer, or if you are ever visiting these areas!

Famous Brewery and Beer LogosFrom microbreweries to craft breweries to regional breweries, breweries are not only found across the United States, but across the world. Whether you prefer an afternoon at your local taproom, or you always choose the same beer when you head to the store, brewery and beer logos are everywhere. Some of the most famous beers consist of internationally based favorite, Guinness, US-based, Miller Lite, and craft-beer option, Sam Adams – three breweries whose logos you likely would recognize. Countless other famous brewery and beer logos are worth gaining inspiration from though, three of which we’ve highlighted below.
BudweiserBudweiser is one of the oldest beer manufacturers in the United States with its founding being dated back to 1876. Founded in St Louis, Missouri, Budweiser is considered an American-style pale lager, with a crisp flavor and malty notes. This style of beer is brewed by using barley malt and a blend of different hop varietals. Budweiser is manufactured today by Anheuser-Busch and is produced and distributed across the world. While the iconic red can is what many associate with Budweiser, the brand has grown to include Bud Light, Bud Zero, and Bud Light Seltzers.
When it came to designing Budweiser’s current logo, the brand turned to one of the brewery’s slogans for inspiration, “The King of Beers.” Rather than using a crown in the logo design, the brand opted for an understated sign of royalty, a bow tie, and then used a cursive font to further convey this sense of royalty. The bow tie symbol that the wordmark sits in represents the sophistication and elegance that are tied to the Budweiser brand. A final component of the logo is the color choice. Budweiser chose red to symbolize the power Budweiser has over this industry.
Magic Hat Brewing CompanyThere are large brewery operations like Budweiser and then there are independent, craft breweries like Magic Hat that have also developed a loyal following. Magic Hat was founded in South Burlington, Vermont in 1994 and when it was founded, there weren’t many craft breweries on the beer scene. Because of this, Magic Hat is often credited as being the driving force behind the craft beer industry. The brewery’s flagship beer is the #9, a beer with notes of apricot, but beyond that, Magic Hat brews four other beers year-round, in addition to seasonal beers throughout the year. Today, Magic Hat is owned by Florida Ice & Farm Co., but the beer itself is the same beer you know and love.
With Magic Hat’s logo, the brewery got whimsical with its design. The logo features a playful font used for the wordmark that sits on top of the swirl. This swirl represents the magic component of the brand name, resembling what a hypnotist might have you stare deep into. Another component of the logo is a star that sits in between each word of the brand name, with a moon inside of it. This represents when magic often happens, at night. This logo stands out from competitors on the shelf and will draw you into the brand.
Blue MoonEven though Blue Moon is owned and manufactured by Molson Coors, Blue Moon is a brand that has built a loyal following on its own. What brings many people to Blue Moon is that this Belgian-style witbier has a distinct taste coming from it being brewed with malted barley, white wheat, orange peel, coriander, and oats. To help accentuate those flavors, the beer is often served with an orange slice. Blue Moon was formally launched in 1995 in Golden, Colorado and today Blue Moon has introduced additional varietals like Honey Moon, Harvest Moon, Full Moon, Rising Moon, and Pale Moon. Blue Moon’s logo is a logo that speaks for itself. The logo features a blue moon with the Blue Moon wordmark sitting on a white ribbon across the moon. The wordmark is a darker shade of blue, sticking to the blue theme. What is significant about Blue Moon’s logo is that the logo design has not altered much since the beer’s inception. Since the beer was founded, the logo has always featured some variation of a blue moon, helping establish brand awareness and loyalty.
