DesignCrowd Pricing, Featured Reviews and Alternatives

Meet Design Crowd:

DesignCrowd is, as the name suggests, a crowdsourced design platform. It is essentially a contest platform, although the company prefers to call itself a marketplace. They provide all sorts of graphic design, from t-shirts to websites.

How Design Crowd Works:

DesignCrowd’s contest creation process is pretty straightforward. Just follow these steps:

Is DesignCrowd right for you?

DesignCrowd is ideal for one-off projects, such as developing your business’s brand identity or getting a webpage designed. It’s a no-fuss, no-frills platform. So if you’re not interested in developing working relationships with designers or getting tons of projects done, Design Crowd is a good option. DesignCrowd also offers an enterprise option for marketing agencies who want to outsource design on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Why DesignCrowd is awesome:

DesignCrowd has one main offering, and it does it well. You get dozens of amazing design submissions, then you give feedback and work with designers to finalize designs. Each submission is custom-designed to your specifications, and you can get illustrations done as well.

Pricing and Packages

With DesignCrowd, you do tend to pay more overall than on other platforms. Prices vary by the type of project and how many design options you want to get. The lowest-tier logo package, for example, is $109 and you can only expect 1-3 designs. The highest tier is $739, and you can expect more than 150 designs.

When you launch your contest, you can choose how quickly you want results. DesignCrowd can deliver results very quickly. However, you have to pay extra if you want to close your contest within 1 or 2 days.

DesignCrowd Pros

  • Flexible package options
  • Ability to customize your contest

DesignCrowd Cons

  • Slower turnaround — up to 3 days unless you pay $29 extra for rush
  • Overall low number of design submissions
  • No option to continue a designer relationship
  • Limited number of revisions for lowest-tier plan
