<p data-path-to-node="5">We are <b data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="7">Shades of Blue Charters</b>, a premium boat charter company operating out of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. We run private charters in the USVI as well as the British Virgin Islands where we offer snorkeling, sightseeing, island hopping, and beach bar hopping as just a few examples of the types of activities we do on our charters. People often tell us their day with us was the best day of their vacation.</p><p data-path-to-node="6">Our current branding is simple logo-wear.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">We want a colorful, high-end </span><b data-path-to-node="15" data-index-in-node="29" style="font-size: 0.875rem;">"Artist Series"</b><span style="font-size: 0.875rem;"> design for the back of our premium navy shirts and SPF hoodies. We want this to feel like a limited-edition boutique coastal brand. Please check our website/social media to get a feel for our vibe.</span></p>

<li><p data-path-to-node="3"><b data-path-to-node="3" data-index-in-node="0">Design Directives and Inspiration</b> We have two paths for this design, and we’d love to see entries for both:</p><p data-path-to-node="4"><b data-path-to-node="4" data-index-in-node="0">Option 1: The "Underwater" Artist Series (The Priority)</b></p><ul data-path-to-node="5"><li><p data-path-to-node="5,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="5,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">The Vision:</b> A top-down, atmospheric view looking through 6–8 feet of crystal-clear water at white sand ripples.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="5,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="5,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">The Goal:</b> Use the "MUST_SEE_Reference_Image" (ChatGPT generated) as your guide for light, texture, and "caustics".</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="5,2,0"><b data-path-to-node="5,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">The "Blend":</b> Use the Navy of the shirt for shadows (negative space) so the design feels like it is "sinking" into the fabric rather than sitting on top like a heavy decal.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="5,3,0"><b data-path-to-node="5,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">The Edges:</b> No hard boxes or solid borders; use halftones to vignette/fade the water organically into the navy shirt fabric.</p></li></ul><p data-path-to-node="6"><b data-path-to-node="6" data-index-in-node="0">Option 2: Designer’s Choice Boutique Graphic (The Surprise)</b></p><ul data-path-to-node="7"><li><p data-path-to-node="7,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="7,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">The Vibe:</b> If you aren't feeling the underwater look, surprise us with a custom tropical/coastal graphic that fits a premium island boutique aesthetic.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="7,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="7,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">The Rule:</b> It must still feel like an "Artist Series" piece. No generic clip-art or literal boat traces. Use our logo and the "US Virgin Islands" location to create something unique.</p></li></ul><p data-path-to-node="8"><b data-path-to-node="8" data-index-in-node="0">Updated Technical Requirements (STRICT):</b></p><ul data-path-to-node="9"><li><p data-path-to-node="9,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">4-Color Limit:</b> Use halftones to create gradients. The final design must be limited to 4 ink plates.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Negative Space &amp; Breathability:</b> Use the <b data-path-to-node="9,1,0" data-index-in-node="40">Navy Blue</b> of the shirt as the deepest 'shadow' color. Do not print solid dark ink in the shadows; leave those areas open so the garment remains breathable and the design feels integrated into the fabric rather than a thick layer of ink.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,2,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">File Type:</b> Winner must provide a high-resolution, layered Vector file (.AI or .EPS) with colors separated for the printer.</p><p data-path-to-node="9,2,0"><br></p><p data-path-to-node="3,1">I have added our official logo that includes the 'US Virgin Islands' text (see <b data-path-to-node="3,1" data-index-in-node="79">new uploads</b>).
