If you are requiring a logo design suitable for embroidery and screenprinting you will definately require a vector file, a bitmap file would be useless. :)

Also for designers awareness, gradients are a no no for screenprinting and embroidery. Flat colors are best otherwise you up the costs for a client considerably as it has to go from a flat color print to a process color print usually requiring more printing and filmwork ;)
