Hello all contestants. I am so happy so far with so many of these designs. I'd like to say more to help you with the direction I am leaning. The background of the planner that the logo will go on will be be a pale yellow color CMYK 1,0,16,0. There will be rustic old chipped brick tiles around the edge of the planner - looking almost like a checkerboard. Also maybe some vines with small leaves - so it will look like you are sitting in an old Italian patio in spring or summer. The bricks will be different shades of terra cotta. If I can post an image I will. I have to ask Hatchwise how to do this. If I can not - I may post a link to a website where I will upload the image. The final logo will be shrunk to 3/4" high and up to 2 1/2" wide or a little less wide. I know there is not a lot of room for a logo but this has to be this way. I'm leaning toward the logos that have more organic elements - meaning not knives and forks and plates but yes to leaves, fruits or food items or things you will use when cooking like a pot - and not what you eat with at the table. I hope this helps. Thanks for all your hard work. I appreciate what you are doing. Thanks Stacey

I like your desire to keep it earthly with terra cotta colors. I tried to do that without having it look like an Italian or Tuscan theme. If you choose any of my designs, I will provide the files both with and without the by-line. Thank you.

I came across this link today and it's a collection of logos that have to do with food industry. They're really fabulous and perhaps can help the contest holder see what good logos should look like. Interesting that this contest holder remarked she did NOT want forks, knives, etc. Proves my point that most buyers don't know what they want.

It is interesting - Isn't it? It is also interesting how a good design can change a person's mind.
