Describe your company and organization and target audience

Townsend Community School is a dropout prevention/credit recovery high school in Northern Ohio, serving a 6-county area near Lake Erie. We serve students 14-21, who have fallen off track of graduating for many various reason (i.e. physical health challenges, mental health challenges, teen pregnancy, family death, juvenile court system, bullying at previous school, attendance issues, credit deficient, etc.). Through our whole child approach, we help our students focus on deal with the life challenges that they are facing, so that they can overcome these obstacles and ultimately graduate from high school.

The design should have the following

Our newly selected mascot is the Townsend Community School Thunder (or TCS Thunder, or Townsend Thunder). The concept behind this is that we help our students work through the thunderstorms in their lives so that they can have a brighter future. Our school colors are maroon and gray. Our website is townsendcs.org. You will see a lowercase "tcs" logo with a circle that has been used in the past. We would consider the new logo incorporating this past logo, but we would also consider the new logo to not contain the old logo. Through student and staff feedback, here are some concepts that you may want to consider when designing a logo (cloud with a silver lining, lightning bolt to represent thunder, TCS shield, a hint of a rainbow to signify brighter days after the thunderstorms of life, a hammer to signify thunder). We are looking forward to your creative ideas!

The school colors are maroon and gray. Other colors may be used in the logo though as well.
