Describe your company and organization and target audience

<p>Salem Recovery Gym is a free CrossFit gym for people on a healing journey. Anything from addiction to trauma and everything in between. Often the work of recovery from something is very "heart" and "head" focused. Powerful, but hard to measure. As evidenced through similar concepts around our area (we're in Salem, Oregon but there are similar gyms throughout PNW and countrywide.) pairing physically demanding tasks in community supplements and spurs on the overall journey quite well. We start class by having each person answer two questions (after saying their name), "Where have you come from?" and "Where are you going?". Similar to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, we give people the opportunity to loosely identify what it is they struggle with and what they are working towards. Fundamentally, the gym/exercising is a vehicle for change and transformation. Of the whole person.&nbsp; &nbsp;<span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">&nbsp;</span></p>

The design should have the following

<p>When loosely sketching things out I've liked a couple different directions and elements for a logo but I've come to Hatchwise for the creativity and expertise of others. Feel free to use one of these as a launching point or meld a few together:</p><p>- One concept was "Salem Recovery Gym" as text, and the "S", "R" and "G" of each word are collectively similar. So if we had "SRG" on something that is a connection to our logo having highlighted those letters as unique in their own word but part of a collection. Hope that makes sense. I'll attach a snip of a rough example.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">- I like the balance of round designs.&nbsp;</span></p><p>- As much as I don't love traditional gym logos, if it's going to be illustrative, it has to be clear what it is. I'm open to the use of barbells and plates as imagery. I'll attach one that I had a friend mock up. Don't love it, but it was the best of what I had at the time.&nbsp;</p><p>- Our questions "Where have you come from?" and "Where are you going?" implicate movement. Something evoking that concept could be cool.&nbsp;</p><p>- Established 2023 is okay to be integrated.&nbsp;</p>
