<p>The logo is for a non-profit organization called MASCARA that promotes indigenous, Latin American, and Latino art, culture, cultural education, and raises funds to award scholarships to students of diverse backgrounds. </p><p><span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">Out target audience are corporate sponsors, institutions of higher education, educational professionals, students, and those wishing to support and preserve indigenous culture and history from the Americas.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 0.875rem;"><br></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">M.A.S.C.A.R.A., the organizations acronym, means "mask" in Spanish.<br></span><br></p>

The design should have the following

<p>The logo should reflect the organization's focus on indigenous art and culture, and promotion of education, and consist, preferably, of iconic line art (black and white) since the main use of the logo would be on the organization's website and letterhead, but also something that can be used on t-shirts and other promotional materials. It should have an ancient indigenous (e.g., Aztec, Mayan, Toltec, Inca, Native North American) feel or connotation (invoke images on ancient indigenous art and culture).</p><p>Although we prefer a simple logo and we want something that is symmetrical (if possible, but not required), the final product should be sophisticated and NOT cartoon-like .&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">There should be a balance between simplicity and sophistication in the design.</span></p>

<p>It should NOT have the name of the organization or any lettering on it.<br></p><p>Prefer black line with an ancient indigenous (i.e., Mesoamerican) feel. Google "Aztec line art," "Aztec gods," "Mayan gods," "Mayan line art," to get an idea.&nbsp; It should be more "iconic." if there are colors at all other than black (and white) the use of color should be limited.&nbsp;</p><p>It should not merely imitate images of Aztec or Mayan deities or folklore, it should have an air of modernity and originality mixed in with the sophistication of ancient Mesoamerican icons. Although I provided full body sample images, <b>the final product should look more like a mask.</b>&nbsp;</p>
