To add further comment on design 'concepts'. As there's low awareness of this type of insurance, we were endeavouring to convey a message of the 'values' of the person with expertise not being there. ie. if a great salesperson isn't there, then revenue drops/is lost. So 1 idea may be to have a 'blacked out' or 'silhouette' image of a person, representing the person not there (not much of an idea, but it gets the ball rolling i guess). We are okay with an image above the logo/at ends/faded behind the text. The more creative the better. We'd really like to convey the importance of the person in the business. People insure buildings/machinery/etc but the most important facet of any business is the people and their ability to generate revenue.

A second concept for consideration would be to represent via an image, of a 'smart person' as per the tagline perhaps?

HI, thanks everyone for their entries thus far. Some clever designs are there for sure. Is it possible that we can try to convey a message of the 'benefit' that the insurance provides rather than a person symbol? In this case, so that insurance proceeds would come into the business to 'replace' the money generating person if something were to happen to them. So the real 'benefit' for the client, is that their business will continue. The product provides certainty that their business will exist into the future even if a keyperson dies or is ill.

OK. Being unfamiliar with the insurance industry, perhaps you can give me (and the other designers) a bit of guidance. From your experience with marketing your business or interacting with your clients, what object or activity best represents that benefit? "Certainty" is good, but I'm looking for something physical or observable that people association with that benefit, that can be a starting point to put an image into graphic form. (Obviously, other than "dollar bills", which I could certainly put into your logo, but which I don't think you want).
