I tightened up this design, taking out a curved section of the man-shape so that it now more closely resembles a keystone while still very clearly representing an executive or important person. This also makes the design more precarious, i.e. that arch will collapse if that key man is taken out of the picture. I've also put it onto both a black and white background for you so that you can see its versatility. See my other entry for examples of how this design looks when used on marketing pieces and business cards. As you've seen, I devoted quite some energy to exploring the possibility of a design promoting the benefits of your services, rather than emphasizing the fears. I think you will agree those efforts were less effective than this one. The bottom line is that your industry markets to the very real fear of collapse that business owners have, should they lose one or more of their key personnel. Especially now with world economics in the state they are in, this is a very real fear to your target marketing publics. This design feeds into that fear, demonstrating visually a precarious structure that depends on the presence of a specific and important individual. Yet it does it in a way that is refined, corporate and business-like. We are not waving around a skull and crossbones here, but we ARE pointing out to him exactly what he knows in his heart of hearts - his house of cards will fall apart without his key players. As you already pointed out in your design brief, because you are in a fairly new niche market, it is key to paint the picture for your prospective customers fairly graphically--illustrating in one fell swoop the need for your product so there can be no question in their minds. Of all the submissions so far, I respectfully submit that this one most clearly does that.
