Describe your company and organization and target audience

The audience for this logo are fraternity membership of the local fraternity chapter. The logo should be upscale, polished, and sophisticated. MORE ON KAΨ: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. a predominantly Black/African American Greek-letter fraternity, was founded on January 5, 1911 on the campus of Indiana University located in Bloomington Indiana. The fraternity was founded by 10 black men to provide an alternative to the racially exclusive student organizations on campus and to strengthen the bonds of friendship among these and other African American students. Today the fraternity has over 700 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every state of the United States as well as chapters in the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, Japan, the Caribbean, and South Africa. The total membership of the fraternity exceeds 150,000. + Fraternity members are called "Nupes" + Fraternity is referred to as KAΨ when written + The official colors are red and white (crimson and cream can also be used) + Scroll(s) (like the rolled paper used to write on) hold a huge importance in the fraternity and are typically presented/referred to graphically (see the attached coat of arms picture with the center panel with the letters ΦVΠ in the middle) + The "OKAY" hand gesture holds a prominent significance in the fraternity + Red and white striped canes hold a prominent significance in the fraternity (think canes styled like red & white candy canes) + The unofficial logo is the Playboy Bunny (bunny head with bowtie)

The design should have the following

First let me communicate that the chapter membership is looking for a logo that incorporates/utilizes Bay area iconography (think the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the campanile--clock tower--on UC Berkeley's campus) and traditional KAΨ Fraternity symbols (canes, coat of arms, scroll). The logo design does not necessarily have to include the symbols/iconography stated above but I've included it as a jumping-off point for creativity purposes. Ideally we would like to place this design on baseball hats, t-shirts, and make a challenge coin featuring the design. Please feel free to use the details I outlined in the "Describe your company and organization and target audience" section of this design brief.
