Describe your company and organization and target audience

We are a firearms training and personal defense company led by a retired special operator, Department of Defense Operations officer, security director, and executive protection specialist. We seek to provide average Americans training that will enable them to avoid or triumph when violence is thrust upon them. Our customers and how they would describe themselves: The customer we are looking for and serving: 1. Males and female over 30 2. They have families 3. They are humble, kind, law-abiding, and seek the good of others 4. They believe in the need to protect themselves and their loved ones while making every effort to avoid trouble and confrontation. 5. They are willing to commit time, energy and resources to ensure they can defend themselves. 6. Many are over 50/60 who refuse to be a scared old woman/man. “I am a Sentinel. I understand the world is a dangerous place. I support our police, fire, and emergency medical services while understanding that no matter how much they are dedicated to my safety, history shows, they will probably not be in a position to protect me or my family when evil and violence force themselves upon us. Therefore, I must be prepared to defend my life, the lives of my family, my property, and perhaps the life of another, as appropriate, within the law and in full view of God who sees all. I am not a police officer, military member, or special operator. I am a law-abiding, moderately trained, and disciplined citizen who believes my life and those of those I love are precious and I have a duty to protect them. I don’t want to hurt ANYONE, but I am willing to.”

1. I would like you to consider something like “grunge” letters to make the logo out of first and then look at other options. ‘ 2. I would like to logo for multiple formats and I own all aspects of the design, but you can use it for advertising. 3. I want it to convey confidence, authority, professionalism and strength, and access to men and women.

Briefly describe your contest

We are looking to establish a brand. Though I selected 3 styles above, I hope your expertise will lead me to the right design for what we are trying to accomplish. We believe people should be able to protect themselves and their loved ones when law enforcement cannot get there in time. We want a logo that conveys our philosophy of self protection and gives them a sense of confidence that the training they get will be effective and worth their time.
