We create mashups of two or more songs by the same or similar names across all musical genres. An example would be “SOS” by ABBA, mashed up with “SOS” by Rihanna. Or “Summertime” by Ella Fitzgerald, mashed up with “Summertime Sadness” by Lana Del Rey. You can find clips of all of our songs on our Instagram at @fusednyc. Because we do perform songs from aaaall different genres and all different decades, we do believe our music appeals to a wide audience.

And to be honest, I don’t hate it. But we’re thinking it could be time for just a slightly more professional quality logo with a touch more personalization. I’ll include the current logo in here, as well as a few ideas I’ve created, also on Canva, to give an idea of the direction we’re thinking of heading. I’m not necessarily married to any of these ideas, though, they’re just rough ideas I could make cheaply. But please please please feel free to stray from just those rough sketches. I would be open to some creative interpretations, and am already seeing some great ones in the designs submitted thus far! But I do have color codes and such ready that we would like to use (see below). As far as the use of color, we’d like to still somehow invoke the idea of two separate songs coming together (signified by the blue and the pink) to create something new (the hint of purple that is the combination of the two first colors). I’m finding myself partial to the designs that use those colors as a gradient, rather than hard lines, but still open to ideas with that. We like that the neon effect and/or the idea of a spark gives a nod to the idea of electrical fusion. We’d definitely like that incorporated in some way— this electrical element. I do like their logo as well (which I’ll also include here)— how there’s a microphone that clearly shows they’re musical in nature. It’s pretty simple, but still fun and sleek. We do not need exactly that, but just if you’re wondering about logos we’ve been looking at. Update: also open to other ideas like music notes, staff, etc to incorporate a musical element, doesn’t have to specifically be a mic. I’m not super decided yet on whether we want the font to be more script or more block-y (not sure if that’s the right word, but just not hand-written). I’m open to your creative ideas on font. Again, just sleek and mature.

This design should not have this in the entries: There’s nothing in particular I can think of that I’d say to NOT include in the logo. I’m open to ideas. Update: Thank you all for your submissions so far! I am really enjoying them, and appreciate all of your hard work and effort. Please keep them coming! Just letting you know, as more roll in, I am finding myself partial to the designs that do have some kind of 3D element, or at least an element that takes it beyond 2D and elevates it to something beyond what I could make on Canva. If it is possible to incorporate that into your design, that would be great! I’ve attached a new screenshot with potential ideas for what I mean when I say designs that are a bit more 3D. Just as inspiration and to get ideas flowing.
