ETS (abbreviation of Engineered Tower Solutions)
Describe your company and organization and target audience
ETS will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2022 and we are looking to refresh our logo. You can see the current logo at https://www.engineeredtowersolutions.com/ This website is being completely overhauled and will require updated branding - hence the new logo. Tower engineering is a collective term for the design, construction, inspection, structural analysis, and certification work for services on the 400,000+ communication towers across the nation. Most of the communications towers in the US support wireless services for commercial carriers like AT&T and Verizon, for private voice and data services for utility providers like Duke Energy, and government public safety networks operated by highway patrol agencies, homeland security, and emergency management. Interestingly, companies like AT&T and Verizon do not own all their towers. A large percentage of towers are owned by American Real Estate Investment (REIT) trusts that make their money by renting space to carriers and other wireless service providers. Engineering services are not at all glamourous and it’s not a high-volume B2C business where instant gratification is required. Our larger customers are multi-$Bn corporations that manage their properties closely and look for highly competent, experienced, and innovative engineering service companies to assist with portfolio management. There are plenty of vendors in the tower engineering service space, and they are all, with a few exceptions, rather dull and unsophisticated with their visual brands. Excellent logos to reference include: www.americantower.com www.crowncastle.com www.towerco.com www.BV.com www.verticalbridge.com
The design should have the following
The winning logo will combine a brand icon and the letters ETS following. The intent is to be able to break up the logo and use the icon separately from the letters. Therefore the letters ETS should not be an integral part of the icon. The letter E or e may be integrated into the design icon. A custom E is preferable to a standard font. The logo will be two-color, preferably with one color being RGB (170, 24, 44). A single color has to work also.
This logo will be used for
- Online (Website, facebook etc.)
- Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
- Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
- Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
This design should not have this in the entries
There is an industry penchant for using tower designs and radio waves to add industry relevance. This is not required but can be considered if done well. Reference https://tepgroup.net/ for an example. We do not want a red tower in our new logo. We are a serious engineering company, so the logo must not be whimsical or cartoonish.
Colors to use in the design
Red and complimentary
