Describe your company and organization and target audience

This is a volunteer group run by family members and its purpose is to foster community, connection and leadership for all of the current and future Cabot family members who number over 125 individuals. The vision is to create opportunities for connection between family members; education around family-related matters (our history, our family-wide projects that include foundations, property holdings of a ranch and an island, our family office, etc); celebrate the uniqueness of differential thought; and cultivate leadership skills. This logo will primarily be used in a digital format on family-wide communications via Constant Contact and on our family website.  We are a family based on the east coast of the United States but have family members who live around the world.

Design ideas have not been drawn up by the group but options for both a "text only" logo as well as one offering other graphic images would be great to see.

Briefly describe your contest

We are looking to develop a logo that reflects the idea of a family council as we are in the beginning phases of our work as a group. We want to help communicate our vision of what we are with a visual aid and think that a logo would help achieve that goal.
