Describe your company and organization and target audience

Avant Garden specializes in garden design with an emphasis on seasonal container design:  storefronts, rooftops, urban gardens and renewable, seasonal plantings to enhance a garden.  I've been in business since 2003 and have a website www.avantgardenchicago.com and logo that I'm frankly tired of.  

The design should have the following

I would love a logo that isn't on the vertical as it is now avant is horizontal and garden is on its side and the flower head doesn't come across strong enough on screen printing.  I like to say I paint with flowers so I'm not sure how that could be conveyed.  I love the chocolate cosmos flower and the lines of the flower could be 'illustrated'  or look hand drawn?  A set of leaves seems appropriate.  I am incorporated as Avant Garden Chicago, Inc.  but I think the word Chicago could be represented with the elements of the flag somehow instead of written?  I am kind of opposed to the Chicago Skyline in that way, but ?  I am eager to get fresh ideas and decide on a new logo!  The change of the seasons as an element?  Or very simple the right logo will be easy to embroider on hats and such.

<p>greens/deep brown almost magenta (chocolate cosmos flower)/white/black</p><p>but I love color - I tend to use green/purple and accent of white</p>

Briefly describe your contest

I do love my current logo but it doesn't have a capital AG that can be used on hats/etc. I may want a strong flower like the chocolate cosmos and a logo not on the vertical like garden is now
