Describe your company and organization and target audience

This is a new family law firm that is based in Asheville North Carolina.  Asheville is in the heart of the blue ridge mountains, near the Pisgah National Forest,  French Broad River and the Biltmore Estate.  We will service all of western North Carolina which is a mountainous and generally rural region.  The region is known for its large forest, mountains, rocky outcroppings, abundant waterfalls and outdoor activities.  The larges city in the region, Asheville, is known as a liberal arts town which has become a tourism hotspot in the last 10 years.  

The design should have the following

The prior for one of the law firms being merged into this new law firm is displayed herein.  We generally like the colors used, but are not limiting ourselves to those colors.  Generally, we like logos with a white background, which will allow it to be put on letterhead, business cards and the website, which is anticipate to use white as a primary background color for a clean look.  

The family law firm does all areas of family law, such as custody, divorce, adoption, mediation and other areas.  This is generally very high conflict work so we are seeking logos and imagery that cool, soothing and calming.  

The prior logo utilized a mountain theme as the mountains are a major feature of all of the towns we serve.  

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

Colors to use in the design

First choice is blue variations consistent with existing logo.  Also would consider deep greens or earth tones.  Blue is representative of the blue ridge mountains.  Green and earth tones would would be of the abundant forest in the area. Some firms use the imagery of a large tree to represent stability or family (i.e. a family tree).  Prior logo used mountain imagery as that is a feature common to all areas we serve.
